Location

The School of Sugar is situated in the spectacular surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales

Situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, nestling between Ingleborough and Whernside, The Old Hill Inn is an ancient establishment of great character, which dates back to 1615. Originally a farm, then Drovers inn, now specialises in delicious home cooked food and excellent puddings.

A family of chefs runs the inn, Sabena Martin will warmly welcome you in when you arrive, Colin Martin, a famous pastry chef and sugar sculptor extraordinaire, whose spectacular sculptures are on display in the dining room, will create your desserts, while their son assembles the mouth-watering meals.

A homely place with roaring log fires, open beams, where Winston Churchill used to stay for hunting and fishing holidays. It’s a perfect place for a cosy meal and a pint of well-kept, refreshing beer.
